Viktor Tvrz, a forty-eight-year-old manager, has a rich professional life and is undoubtedly very hardworking, patient and goal-oriented. He worked his way up to his current position from a worker installing cable television distribution in apartments; in the army, he operated a power station, worked as an adjuster and subsequently led a team of people at Celestica, a company engaged in the production of consumer electronics. There he started as an assembly machine operator, and during the next ten years he also tried his hand at working as a shift leader or supervisor, until he reached the position of Production manager.
During the global recession, he went on a three-month English course to South Africa to expand his education and improve his communication skills in one of the world's most widely spoken languages.
After his return, he moved from Rakovnick to Chomutov for work, where he was approached by Puls investiční, s. r. o., with its unique approach to employees and the complexity of production management. "That became the content of my work, which included leading the TPM team as well as the technology of pre-processes and production itself," says Viktor. But his practice does not end there.
Atomotive Eaton, HI-LEX, AD Fine Dine
At Automotive Eaton, he used his skills to quickly and efficiently start a new project. "It was about the production of cooling lines for Skoda. The goal was to balance the time and then insert the pre-production processes into the main line, thereby reducing the handling of production in progress and the movement of material around the production hall," he explains. "It was a challenging project. There was quite a limited pool of motivated workers in the company, but we finally managed to do it, within five months.”
HI-LEX brought with it the opportunity to participate already in the coordination during the construction of the area, the subsequent planning of the layout of the machines in the hall, the testing of new machines and the recruitment of new employees. During the interviews, emphasis was placed on fair dealing, transparent conditions of entry and fulfillment of promises. "In the end, we managed to create such an atmosphere where employees chose colleagues from among their friends," says Viktor.
The last important milestone for Viktor was the small family business AD Fine Dine focused on food production. "We prepared this company for massive production under the baton of the Czech holding company HOPI. I struggled here with food standards and an incredible backlog of orders - received one day and exported the next without the possibility of pre-production for storage."
All roads lead to the HIT OFFICE
Even though Viktor had many other offers, he decided on our family business. He came across the advertisement on the LinkedIN portal, where, however, a completely different position was advertised. "I thought that maybe my rich experience would be useful to the company..." laughs Viktor. “You know, I really liked the opportunity to see the race during January. I like open communication. I got it too, in all corners of the race. I saw a piece of good work that was done here, and at the same time I also saw the possibilities of how to move everything even further - up to the world standards of today's production plants!"
The first steps and the first months as a director
Nothing should be rushed, everyone knows that. For this reason, the first steps will lead to familiarization with the company's culture and all possible and impossible information about production and sales, on the basis of which an action plan of visions, projects and tasks will be created. It will then be shared with everyone in the company.
Private peephole
Like most of the others, Viktor doesn't have a lot of free time, but if he does find a moment, he tries to be active. “I like to ride my bike into the mountains and stop at nice open views along the way. Sometimes I take a drone with me and take some interesting photos," he says. He is also no stranger to hiking, and in addition to nature, he also visits castles and chateaux.
He spends his vacation by the sea. He loves sailing and sea fishing. “Imagine you are on a bridge and the wind is favorable. Nothing can be heard but the flapping of the sails and the waves bouncing off the ship's hull - it's beautiful. I can't imagine better relaxation," Viktor dreamed.
Similarly, he also rests while riding a bicycle. "This is only about relaxing the soul. I'm not a big athlete, so my legs and lungs aren't too happy about it," he adds. And when the weather does not favor a stay under the open sky, Viktor lazes at home with a book. He prefers fiction, but admitted that sometimes he can't resist even scrap literature.
Viktor's message to colleagues - what can we look forward to?
"I'm looking forward to you, especially to mutual partnership cooperation in the development of our company."
