"We are a family business, so anyone can come up with an idea for a new product or other innovation. However, the main engine in the development of new products is the co-owner of the company, Martin Šťastný, who has such a small 'laboratory' in his office, where he constantly invents new products. During the pandemic, for example, IQ smart packaging was created in it, which will make it easier for customers to take more food, because they can be easily pinned together and taken away at once, ”mentions Marek Šnajdr, marketing manager of HIT OFFICE.
"Our entire company is focused on responsibility in relation to customers, society as a whole, employees and the environment," he presented in the media years ago, when ecology only slowly penetrated the business dictionary, the main motto of the Czech holding HIT OFFICE GROUP was its co-founder and CEO Jiří Happy.
For the winner of the National Award for Quality in Family Business for 2020, the words spoken do not remain just a marketing slogan. The pandemic has taken their current environmental strategy a few steps forward. "In our opinion, disposable packaging still has a place on the market, but it must meet the requirements of sustainable development. In other words, it does not contain plastics, it is fully recyclable and compostable and it can also be used for energy without pollutants in the flue gas, ”says Marek Šnajdr.
And how does the newly awarded company imagine the future of itself and its field? Definitely without plastics. Already in 2019, she was the first to exhibit a 100% water-based dispersion barrier paper cup at the FachPack trade fair in Nuremberg, which does not contain any plastics. It is therefore fully recyclable and compostable. On a similar basis, HIT OFFICE also markets other plastic-free products that have the same useful properties and are environmentally friendly. In order for the paper processor to get into the final products with his demanding resolutions, he buys FSC®-certified material because he also wants to protect forest resources as much as possible. And it also owns the certification of the German laboratory DIN CERTCO for composting products and the BRCGS certificate for food safety for manufacturers and suppliers of food packaging.
